Give Today to Secure the Future for Wildlife

This year marks Ojai Raptor Center’s 25th anniversary and the retirement of our founder, Kimberly Stroud. What began as a grassroots operation in her backyard in 2000 has grown into one of California’s leading wildlife rehabilitation organizations.

Over the past 25 years, ORC has cared for more than 28,000 wild animals, rehabilitated an average of 1,100 raptors each year, and built the largest flight enclosure in Central and Southern California. We’ve inspired thousands of students through science-based education programs, placed hundreds of nesting boxes to provide habitat and sustainable rodent control, and trained the next generation of conservationists through internships, externships, and volunteer programs.

None of this would have been possible without you. Together, we have built a lasting legacy of wildlife rehabilitation, strengthened by a community united by our shared commitment to birds of prey and other native wildlife.

The Next Chapter Begins With You

As we celebrate 25 years of ORC and honor Kim’s extraordinary legacy, we invite you to help carry it forward.

With your support, ORC can:

  • Rescue, treat, and rehabilitate injured, ill, and orphaned raptors in need
  • Upgrade and repair patient and ambassador enclosures to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Build a new training aviary designed for small raptors like our American Kestrel ambassadors
  • Fund our Staff Veterinarian position to continue to provide expert, ongoing medical care
  • Expand our dedicated team to better serve both our patients and our growing education programs
  • Inspire the next generation of wildlife stewards by expanding access to hands-on environmental education

A Legacy Worth Lifting

Kim Stroud’s vision gave Ojai Raptor Center its wings. For 25 years, that vision has been nurtured by people like you—people who believe in protecting wildlife, educating communities, and preserving the natural world for generations to come.

Now, it’s time to help that vision soar even higher. Your gift today provides:

  • $25 - Basic care for one raptor for one day
  • $50 - Food for one adult raptor for one week
  • $150 - One 25-pack of disposable Tyvek PPE to prevent the spread of the deadly HPAI virus
  • $200 - Diagnostic laboratory testing for one patient
  • $2,000 - Surgery for one injured patient

Help shape the next 25 years of wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and conservation at ORC, and ensure that our vital work can continue to soar for decades to come.

Give Today. Carry the Legacy Forward.

Together we can carry forward Kim's inspiring legacy and give the next generation of raptors -and the people who care about them- a future filled with hope.
