From Nest to Sky—Support Their Journey from Rescue to Release

Each spring, our world begins to fill with new life—wide eyes, fluffy down, and tiny talons. But not every baby raptor gets the start they deserve. Our center receives hundreds of baby raptors every year. Some fall from nests too high to return. Others are injured, orphaned, or brought in by well-meaning people unsure of what to do. These wild babies include species such as hawks, owls, falcons, and eagles—born to be wild, born to fly.

At Ojai Raptor Center, we give them that chance.

From the moment they arrive, these young birds receive:
  • Life-saving care – Specialized nutrition and medical treatment
  • Species-specific diets that mimic what they would eat in the wild
  • Medical treatment for injuries, illness, or malnourishment
  • Surgeries for more severe injuries, often broken bones from falling from high heights
  • Re-nesting - reuniting babies with their parents or placing them with foster raptors whenever possible
  • Flight & hunting training in our expansive flight enclosures
  • Preparation for life on their own—strong, skilled, and free

During baby season, we care for hundreds of baby raptors, but their journey from nest to sky is only possible with your support!
